Yippie's 9th Birthday @ Home. And yeah...MANU wins.

My youngest brother will turn 9 this 21st and we had an early celebration for him.
It was meant to be a mini-family affair with a simple meal together.
Steamboat was the method of cooking. Hassle-free. Ideal for >10 ppl.
Here am I with the celebrated boy:

Attendees for the night was of course my parents, siblings, grandma, aunt, Jasmine, Ian, Chun Wei, and Calvin, to make the party merrier!

And not to forget, it was a night where 5 MANU supporters gather (and 2 anti-MANU=DAD&BRO).
It was THE much-awaited Manchester derby which determines the fate of both clubs.

I thought it was a good idea having steamboat as we could wait for the food to get cooked while all of us get glued to the idiot box. I was reluctant to move my ass to fetch food so CW had to do it most of the time :p

A short review of the match: Rooney started the match although he wasn't fully recovered, looked frustrated most of the time, good chances missed, Tevez was not as outstanding as during the Neville-Tevez spat, game was frustrating to watch for there wasn't anything to be celebrated, and why were all the 3 old horses playing the full match.

As good as getting booked for bad tackles most of the time, Scholesy was brilliant in slotting in the only goal of the match 20 seconds from time with a FANTASTIC header! The feeling and atmosphere was so great that for that second, we thought we were at Manchester, screaming our lungs out and high-fiving each other in victory! Yeah!!!!

I particularly like this celebratory pic:

Next we celebrated the victory erm..I mean Jun Yip's birthday with a cake! A home-made jelly cake with the shape of a clown:

[Pic to be uploaded once available from http://www.weinij.wordpress.com/]

And then it was presents time! I personally love opening presents and can't describe how much I enjoy other people revealing their presents..hehe...

But not too easy tho. He was expecting a Nintendo Gameboy and I wasn't going to let him get it so easily...I'm good at setting pranks :p

So here it is the 1st present. Jun Yip was SO confident that he named all 3 guesses as Gameboy. When he opened it....imagine the look on his face...no, it was not as I imagined. He graciously accepted the gift more than anyone would have imagined! What a sport!

So Jasz requested for a kiss in order to grant his wish. And he did...

And wish is granted!
Another kiss got him another gift!
An Adidas watch from Jasz and Ian...

A beautiful family picture as finale:

Oh ya, grandma remembered to take the jelly cakes home >< (how could she not? : D )

Let's Yak Again!

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever you are reading my first post *ahem* after 'disappearing' for almost 2 good years!
I finally decided to pick up where I left yakking 2 years ago...due to sheer determination (I really need this due to mere laziness, carelessness, and just-don't-feel-like-continuing attitude) :p
Well, I always wanted to do up my own banner and don't look down on me, I've finally made it! Thanks to GIMP! -->I still don't know what's the full name for this but it's Photoshop-like. No, I really don't know coz I'm a Photoshop genre dummy!
So....here I am yakking again...in the middle of the night..still feeling GOOD for being able to post my FACE on the banner!
Thanks to WeiniJ for the lovely capture :D

Till then, let's wait for my next eagerly awaited post! (ahem!)
